For my web and app design module I chose the brief to create an app or website which would help new users discover new dining experiences, such as home delivery and take-aways. The app was to be used for location, menu and recommendation. My response to this was to create an app where people could search through a range of more luxury restaurants and choose whether they would like to sit in or take away which they wouldn't normally know about with a more sophisticated restaurant. I called my web and app 'Home Host' The website I created was mostly to advertise where Home Host is and delivered to and it also shows an about us, contact and account page, the site is not used for orders as this is what the app was for. The app I created would first take the location of the person and then they would be able to explore the restaurants that were near them, images of them and also the reviews and what type of food it is. The user then would go onto the menu of their selected restaurant and checkout on the food they wanted. They also have the option to sit in and book a table on the app for the selected time they would like. The user would have the option to log in or sign up which would enable them to save their details and previous orders so they could simply order again if they wanted to. The app would let the user track where their order was and how long it was going to be. They also have the option to watch their food being prepared on the live camera. There is a live chat on the app where the user can either chat with a selected restaurant or Home Host where they could get the help that they needed.
