These are some observational paintings I created for a clients sweet stall where she was selling different types of sweets and also prints of original paintings. I created each painting by creating an observational outline with pencil, then I filled in all of the different colours and shades with acrylic paint, I mixed darker colours in to create a blend to make shadows to ensure the pieces looked realistic and I then also added fine white lines to show where the light was hitting for the highlights I found this easier to do with a dry thicker brush in some places. In the second piece I also created splatters to make it more playful.
