My vector illustration project was in response to my brief to create a series of four different stamps for a  'First Day Set'. The stamp set was to be covered in an informative stamp book with a design on the back and front cover and also on both inside faces of the book. The book and the stamps are to be aimed at stamp collectors, so it needed to show someone from the UK who has made a massive impact with something they have designed or created. My choice was Bob Godfrey and his award winning TV programme Roobarb staring Roobarb and Custard. These two characters were shown in all of my designs and I created a sketchy, cartoon feel to each stamp showing a story going from the illustration of Bob Godfrey thinking of the idea of the two characters to then drawing them out with a continuous pen line drawing both characters out showing their personalities and also tying in awards he had won. I also created a poster to advertise this book of stamps.
